Clean shelves make the kitchen feel lighter, making it a happier place. You do not need to hire a painter. Painting your shelves is a simple project that you can do for a couple of days.

Remove the shelves if it is possible to remove them easily. If not, you can work with them intact. Remove all old shelf paper. Wash shelves with a solution of 1 cup of ammonia and 1 cup of water before paint with chalk paint kitchen cabinets. Determine the type of lacquer you want to use. Kitchen shelves can become dirty quickly, so choosing a chalk paint kitchen cabinets with a finish that is easier to clean will make maintenance easier. Run a knife along the edge of the belt, if you have used it, to keep a clean edge and avoid paint shells. Remove the tape.
